History of Harp Therapy
Earliest documentation of harp therapy dates back to 500AD. The harp was used in India as healing and learning tool in Buddhists temples.
The Ebers Papurus, dated 1500 AD, also documented the use of the harp by Egyptians physicians to help heal the sick.

In the Old Testament book of Samuel, there are 46 references to King David and the use of the harp as a specialised healing instrument.
Pythagoras also used specialised harpists to change behaviours within the Greek population.

At this present day, specialised Harp therapists have studied the ancient techniques of Vibration, frequencies, acoustics and sound medicine and are finding how effective their work is and how it is changing people's quality of lives within modern medicine and this modern world.
How Harp Therapy Works:-
Harp therapy is used on 5 levels of the body - Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Conscious & Subconscious levels.
Bethan utilises the harp as a key element with a therapeutic environment to create an atmosphere for healing and to facilitate positive change, using both Western and Eastern methods. The harp therapist provides music that is individualised to patients focusing on their immediate needs and current situation.
Harp therapy works within all cultures, religions and nationalities.
