Why is it that some babies are dream" babies that settle quickly and sleep soundly and others are scream babies, a nightmare to settle, and cry every time theyre put down at night? The only explanation is that every baby, like every person, is different. And, until easidream, if your babys bedtimes were traumatic and stressful, there wasnt really much you could do about it. The fact is, that a baby that doesnt settle happily or sleep soundly is a real problem not only for mum and the rest of the family but for the baby itself, who needs sound sleep for healthy development.
What is easidream®?
Its a revolutionary baby sleep aid, a soothing system that helps ease the transition from womb to world. It can be used from birth in almost any cot and helps your baby establish a healthy sleep pattern by closely mimicking certain sensations from the womb and recreating these within the cot. Soothing sounds
Here are some interesting facts concerning the sounds used in our dream sheep.. When a baby is in the womb they hear sounds which are filtered from high and medium frequencies, mainly in the low bass 125hz, pink noise range. After the baby is born they can suddenly hear all ranges of frequencies, yet despite this, research has shown that the pink noise range still has the greatest sleep-inducing effect. With this in mind, all of the sound combinations used in our dream sheep have been carefully recorded by clever positioning of the microphone to achieve the desired 125hz pink noise low bass sound frequency. Furthermore, the sounds have then been combined to produce predominantly pink noise sound sequences, which have changing rhythms so that your baby does not get used to a specific pattern of sounds which could result in the sound sequences losing their soothing effect. Research has proven that this particular method of combining sounds can be successful with even the most persistent crying babies, so we thought it was essential to replicate this in our dream sheep, Ewan.
Harp Therapy- Healing Harp
Ok, so we have the heartbeat sound combined with placental, rain and hoover sounds, all of which we could argue are familiar sounds for your baby, but why use a harp sound sequence in our dream sheep?
The harp has been used for hundreds of years to help induce a calming atmosphere and its amazing therapeutic effects have been well documented throughout the ages.
