Since 2006, Bethan has performed over 580 specialist therapeutic concerts on behalf of the charity 'Music In Hospitals', touring the UK.
Music in Hospitals is a charity and our mission is to improve the quality of life of adults and children with all kinds of illness and disability through the joy and therapeutic benefits of professionally performed live music.
All 'Music in Hospitals' musicians are carefully chosen by audition for their high standard of musicianship, communication skills and breadth of repertoire, qualities which enable them to relate to each member of the audience whatever their age, illness of disability. Bethan Hughes has all these skills.
Bethan's repertoire covers classical, folk, jazz, pop and singalongs, as well as asking for requests and playing music of individual audience member's choice. Her flexibility and sensitive approach helps to bring the person out of the patient and many of her concerts are also at the bedside of individual patients.
